Celebrate Recovery is a proven ministry that began in 1991 at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, by Pastor John Baker. Together with Saddleback's senior pastor and renowned author, Rick Warren (The Purpose Driven Life), he recognized that people needed a very personal relationship with the Higher Power, Jesus Christ. Only through a relationship with Christ can one truly let go of past hurts and focus on a peace-filled life.

In Celebrate Recovery we celebrate God's healing power in our lives through eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes and through a Christ-centered 12-step program. We open the door to change by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another and by becoming willing to accept God's grace in solving our life problems. As you progress through the principles and steps, you will discover a personal, loving and fogiving God.

To date, there are over 3700 churches worldwide with a registered, active Celebrate Recovery.
