(Joh 5:19)  So Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.

It was always neat to watch my son try to do what I was doing.  He would walk around in my boots he would pick up tools and try to help me work on things because he wanted to be like me.  It is a healthy thing when a boy wants to be like his father.  It is a wonderful thing when a father is worth being like.

When we look at Jesus’ perfection we see someone who only did what His Father did and His Father never did anything wrong.  Jesus said, “When you see Me you are seeing the Father.”

Father help me to be more like You and Your Son.  Help me to see the hearts of people - to understand their needs and to minister to them.  Make me like you.
